What is Discount Price Calculator?
The Discount Price Calculator is a tool designed for Amazon sellers to quickly calculate the final price of a product after applying multiple overlapping promotions. Based on your product's original price and various promotion types (such as LD, 7-Day Deals, Prime Exclusive Discounts, etc.), it helps estimate the lowest effective sale price to better plan your promotional strategy.
I. Determine the Base Price for Discount Calculation
Before applying any discount, the tool first checks which type of promotion your product is involved in. This determines whether the original price or a promotional price will be used as the base for discount calculation.
When is the Original Price used as the base price?
1. No promotion selected
Formula: Final Price = Original Price - Original Price * Discount
2. Only LD (Lightning Deal) selected
Formula: Final Price = LD Price - Original Price * Discount
In these cases, all right-side discounts are calculated based on the original price.
Example:
Original Price = $30, No LD / 7-Day / Outlet / Prime Discount selected, Coupon = 5%
→ Final Price = $30 - $30 × 5% = $28.5
Original Price = $30, LD Price = $25, Coupon = 5%
→ Final Price = $25 - $30 × 5% = $23.5
When is the Promotional Price used as the base price?
If your product is running any of the following promotions (cannot be combined with LD), the promotional price is used:
7-Day Deal
Outlet Deal
Prime Exclusive Discount
Formula: Final Price = Promo Price - Promo Price * Discount
Original Price = $30, 7-Day Deal Price = $20, Coupon = 5% → Final Price = $20 - $20 × 5% = $19
II. How Discounts Are Stacked
Supported discount types: Coupon / Social Media Promo Discount / Percentage-off Promotion
Step 1: Identify the Percentage-Off Promotion Type
This refers to Amazon's "Percentage-Off" Promotions, with the following options:
Single-use (applies once per customer with a unique code)
Group (unlimited use with a shared code)
None (buyers don’t need a code to get the discount)
Stacking Rule:
If set to None, the Social Media Promo and Percentage-Off Promotion are combined.
If set to Single-use or Group, only the higher percentage of the two is applied.
Original Price = $30, Social Media Promo = 10%, Percentage-Off Promotion = 5%, type = None
→ Total discount = 10% + 5% = 15%
→ Final Price = $30 - 15% = $25.5
If the same discounts are used but the type is Single-use
→ Apply the higher value = 10%
→ Final Price = $30 - 10% = $27
Step 2: Coupon Stacking Options
The tool allows you to decide whether the Coupon can be stacked with other discounts.
Original Price = $30, Social Media Promo = 10%, Percentage-Off Promotion = 5%, Type = None, Coupon = 6%
Stackable
→ Total = 10% + 5% + 6% = 21%
→ Final Price = $23.7
Non-stackable
→ Max(15%, 6%) = 15%
→ Final Price = $25.5
III. Tips for Discount Settings
1. Keep total discounts below 70%, and set max purchase quantity to 1–2 units to avoid abuse and malicious bulk purchases by competitors.
2. LD price is capped at 85% of the lowest price in the past 30 days. If Prime Exclusive runs within that 30-day window before an LD, it could indirectly affect LD eligibility.
3. Coupons only stack with promotions such as “Discount” or “Buy One Get One” types.
